Mold Removal

My name is Suellen Roley. Many of you know me as 'bearseverywhere' 'thefunkylady' 'thefunkiestlady' or 'queenofdaratbags.'
The pictures above show my walk-in closet, which has somehow turned into a 'swim-in' closet. No, of course it isn't deep enough to swim in, but it certainly is wet in there.
I discovered this mess last night while trying to get into the closet to see if there were any small boxes in there.
That black stuff is in the pictures is mold. It smells as bad as it looks.
Mold is also a health risk, particularly for people who already have compromised lungs (like me).
Symptoms of mold exposure include:
Nasal and sinus congestion; runny nose
Eye irritation; itchy, red, watery eyes
Respiratory problems, such as wheezing and difficulty breathing, chest tightness
Cough
Throat irritation
Skin irritation, such as a rash
Headache
Persistent sneezing
I had pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs) in 2010 and choked on a pill which then went into my lungs in 2013. This means that the mold is even more of a risk for me.
I have removed everything from the closet and thrown 3/4 of it away (my suede jacket started out brown and ended up mixed brown/green). I have a fan going to help dry out the walls and floor (hopefully the ceiling as well)
Because this mold infestation is limited to one room it will be relatively inexpensive to fix.
I need the funds as soon as possible (yesterday would be nice!)
This is important to me because the mold makes it impossible for me to sleep in my bedroom.
