Barlow's Battle; Hope and House Fire

My name is Maddie Roman, I'm the Barlow's younger son, Josh's, girlfriend. Around 4PM on July 11, 2017 a fire started working its way up the side of a hill in the foothills of East San Jose. Unnoticed at first, it caught the lower deck in the Barlow's backyard, jumped into an oak tree, which then ignited the entire house in flames. The family and their three dogs made it out just in the nick of time, however, they left with only the clothes on their backs, their laptops, and the dog leashes. Firefighters fought as hard as they could, but unfortunately, the fire got the best of the home, burning it to the ground. What was once a house is now nothing but ashes and very little was found to be salvageable.

Starting over is never easy, especially not after you lose the place that most consider to be the safest in the world. This family lost everything they have that fateful afternoon, minus their lives. Imagine waking up and realizing that everything you own in this world is gone. No more tee-shirts, no more shoes, no more socks or shampoo, no pillows, no blankets, and no bed to go home to. Fortunately, most of us can say we can't even imagine this, but now, this family can't. I hope you can find it in your heart to donate to help this amazing family get back on their feet after this tragedy has taken all that that once had.
