Veteran Dad With Multiple Sclerosis
My name is Rob, and I am a US Army veteran, father, and husband. I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago, and it has advanced to the point where I am unable to get around without assistance.
I was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, kayak, and fish with my family. I miss these activities, and feel guilty that my family is missing out on memories because of my limitations. I heard about tracked power chairs that allow disabled people to get out into the woods, did some research, and I know one of those chairs would change my life. I was urged to start a fundraiser to get one, as they are quite expensive, so here we are!
The disease is progressing, and I understand it's only a matter of time before even something like this chair will afford me the freedom to enjoy life with my family. If the goal is met, it should cover a custom chair, accessories, batteries, shipping accessories, vehicle modifications to transport it, etc.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
