Hello GoFundMe Community!

I am writing to share a story about a Melbourne family who have had a really tough few years that just got worse, again.

Family of 5, Richard and Simone, and their 3 beautiful children. Riley aged 10, and twins Carlee and Hayden aged 6.

In Oct 2015, just after the twins 5th Birthday, Hayden was diagnosed with a large, inoperable brain tumour, on his brain stem.
He became completely paralysed on his left side and endured 36 rounds of chemotherapy.

Hayden's Journey is not over. He's recovery is ongoing, though with new complications and so is his battle to beat Brain Cancer continues.

This journey has changed this beautiful family. They have been struggling, emotionally, physically, psychologically and financially.

The bills keep adding up and they have recently had to downsize their home again to rationalise living expenses.

Hayden was scheduled to have an MRI on Thursday at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, and his parents were anxiously awaiting this day to see if his brain tumour is growing and what of the new cyst that was found attached to the tumour a few months ago.

Unfortunately, they were woken by Police on Thursday morning to find that both of their cars had been stolen overnight.

These cars were left over from better times and even though now getting old we're relied upon for safe transport for Hayden and the family with his medical chair for their frequent trips to the Hospital.

Both cars have been recovered, Richards car for work has extensive damage that is not covered by insurance. It also contained $42,000 worth of medical equipment for his work, which is now missing.

The family's main car as many of you may have seen on-line and the news, was involved in a police chase. The thief rammed a police car driving on two blown tyres and was finally run off the road. This car will most likely be written off, the insurance cover as usual will undoubtedly not cover a replacement car that ticks the boxes for transporting their family of 5, including Hayden's wheelchair and other medical resources.

On top of what they've been going through they have been keeping a brave front and still been so generous and kind helping others in need.

Being foster parents to a child for over 4 years, until recently. Also donating their time appearing in videos, brochures and giving talks to community and business to help spread the word for the many children's cancer charities.

See links attached to Hayden's journey video on YouTube and one of the news stories of the dramatic end to their stolen cars.

It's time they really received the help they need!
