Ocean Lifeguard Certification

Since the age of 15 I have been a lifeguard at different pools and beaches . With the help of various training I was able to save a lot of lives. Perhaps even the life of one of your very own relatives. 

I also have been competing in lifeguard competitions all over Canada. I travelled to Nova-Scotia at the age of 17 to participate in my very first Canadian Lifesaving Championships and even left with a medal. 




The security of others is definately a passion of mine. I never seem to get tired of learning new technics.
From prevention to actual saves, I've done it all. 

I've also met such great people allong the way who have had a very positive effect on my life. Lifesaving has helped me grow into the individual that I am now.



Something I always looked into was the opportunity of receiving training in Australia as an Ocean lifeguard.
It is way different to work on a beach instead of a lake.
I believe receiving this certification would allow me to perform even better at work and also apply this knowledge in my regular life.




I started to train again this past October doing both swimming and running . I also intend to take part in some of the local Competitive Lifesaving events in the Spring to prepare myself for such training.



This May 21st 2016, I will be taking my Ocean lifeguard certification in Australia with a team. The cost of the trip is 1900$ which doesn't include the plane ticket , another 1600$. The trip itself lasts 3 weeks during which I will be living part of the time in Lifeguard housing and will receive their Australian Medal Lifeguard Certification. In other words, I would be able to work on their beaches. 


I would be really thankful if you would be whilling to donate towards my cause. I am currently in school and work only part time so it is a bit hard to afford this kind of trip.

I am hoping to raise 2000$. All of the funds will be used towards the cost of the trip which needs to be entirely payed off by April 21st the latest.
