Uriah the VACTERL Warrior

Donation protected
On March 4th 2017, we welcomed our miracle baby, Uriah, into the world. Our baby boy was diagnosed with VACTERL syndrome along with respiratory/renal failure. VACTERL syndrome is a disorder that affects many body systems. VACTERL stands for vertebral defects, anal atresia, cardiac defects, tracheo-esophageal fistula, renal anomalies, and limb abnormalities. People diagnosed with VACTERL syndrome typically have at least three of these characteristics, but Uriah has all seven. From the very beginning of pregnancy we were told he wasn't going to make it and did what no parent should ever have to do. We had to plan for our child's passing. It was a long journey from my husbands deployment to recieving continuous bad news about our baby boys condition to now. Everyday we strive to overcome the challenges life throws at us in hopes for progress. Our son is nothing short of a remarkable human being and is a fighter through and through.

Our main goal is to raise awareness for families also dealing VACTERL syndrome along with raising money for his medical expenses.
