Education For Girls In Leogane HAITI

There are some parts of the world that kids are not able to attend school due to financial constraints. Its even harder on impoverished villages in Leogane, Haiti. If a family is unable to care for its child, they are normally given away to other families with the hope for a better future. The fate of a young girl is even more egregious. She can be sold into what we know as human trafficking! In our country there are unlimited resources to assist families, free education, and housing. This is not the case for Haiti. When we assist with education, there is hope for tommorrow. A mother will not have to sell her daughter off into modern day slavery for hopes of paid tuition. She can live at home for another year. She can learn to read and write. She can invent the next best thing. She will educate the next generation to come. She can help turn the country into a better place. Ignorance kills! Lack of education breeds a severe form of poverty.
