Funds for Ashley

This page was set up in support of an amazing friend, loving wife, and wonderful mother, Ashley George. She is a dedicated sister and aunt and the relationship she has with her grandparents is a special bond that Ashley cherishes. Ashley means so much to so many people; and is truly a beautiful person inside and out. Her daughter, Jazmyn, step-son, Danny Jr., and husband, Danny are the lights of her life and she is theirs.

Ashley was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system, at 6 months old. She remained mostly healthy until her middle teens when she began to have regular IV antibiotic treatments (“tune-ups”) throughout her teens and twenties. Three years ago, around the time of her parents’ passing, her hospital stays became more frequent. Within the last year, Ashley’s health has been declining – with her getting sicker each time and taking longer to recover. On April 7, her lungs collapsed for the second time in two months and it has been determined that Ashley is in desperate need of a lung transplant. Ashley has been moved from Tampa General Hospital to New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, where her primary doctor is located while she awaits listing for transplant, but her family needs our help.

While Ashley has insurance, her medical bills will be astronomical and insurance will not provide the full coverage she will need. Please donate, even if it is a small amount, so that her family can focus on being there for her without other distractions. Ashley is an incredibly strong person and will fight with all that she has in order to prolong her life to be with her family.
