Audies Medical Expenses

This Gofundme account was made to help our daughter Audie Grace. She is 2 years old and is battling a rare genetic disorder called CDKL5. CDKL5 causes her to have uncontrollable seizures, severe developmental delay and low muscle tone. Audie is non-mobile and non-verbal. She is currently being treated by multiple doctors and specialists both here in Las Vegas and in Salt Lake City Utah. Unfortunately the costs of her medications, treatments, trips to out of state doctors, the cost of over 30 Emergency room visits, 7 ambulance rides and 12 hospitalizations have added up and it makes taking care of her current needs more difficult. Such as Audie rescue medication used to stop her long seizures when she stops breathing is not covered by insurance and is $640 after the use of the prescription discount card. Also, Audie has been on phenobarbital since she was about 4 months old and it doesnt work for her. Unfortunately it is an extremely difficult and slow weaning process and because she can not have glucose the phenobarbital has to be compounded. Insurance will not pay for that either and its $510 a month. Audie is growing and getting her around is becoming more and more difficult. She has outgrown her special needs wheelchair which broke down and she she now has what we call "her big girl chair". Unfortunately this new wheelchair is not able to be broken down so its impossible to transport. We desperately need a van that we can later when Audie is older have modified with ramps. We have tried to save for these things but the cost of her everyday care is taking everything we have. We appreciate so much all the love, prayers and support we have received. God Bless everyone!
