Help Sean Johnson Take His Family to the Pearl Harbor Memorial
Sean was diagnosed at 13 months old with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the #1 genetic killer for kids under the age of 2. They said he wouldn't live past three, he just turned 22, defying the odds but is living on borrowed time! Sean has a fragile immune system so he could leave us at any time.
Sean has a love of history and one of his biggest dreams is to be able to take his family to the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii. I have watched this family struggle and overcome great odds in their lives. Due to the high cost of accommodating Sean’s medical needs it has been impossible to travel and see historical sites for himself. We can make it possible!
Anyone who knows Sean, knows he is a DIE-HARD Real Salt Lake Fan. ALL the boys on the team know who Sean is! He does not miss a Friday practice and never misses a game. He is LOYAL!!
Sean has been in a wheelchair since he was 2! He has never had mobility -never walked, and only army crawled. He lost the ability to feed himself when he had a spinal fusion at the age of 7. He can’t itch his nose, he can’t move his neck, he can’t stand up, he can’t feed himself. But let me tell you what he can do....He can make you laugh, he can hold a deep conversation, he is super smart, he knows a ton of stuff about history. He is quiet, but his presence speaks volumes of the type of man he is.
He is entirely dependent on his amazing mother, Julie, who has been his caretaker for the last 22 years. She just endured two shoulder surgeries, due to lifting and carrying him.....Sean wants to be able to thank
her for the loving care she has rendered all these years!!
PLEASE LETS GET SEAN TO HAWAII!! Because flying is difficult, especially how long it would take to Hawaii, it would be best for him to fly first class, and he deserves it!
PLEASE DONATE and help this amazing man realize his dream! Thank you so much for your generoisty!
