Hello friends, My name is LaGina, I was diagnosed with Schlerderma of the lungs 6 years ago. Scleroderma is the hardening of the skin or organs and my effected organ is the Lungs. I have done very well over the years with a few lifestyle adjustments however Scleroderma is a progression disease and I am now at a point of severe pulmonary fibrosis. I will need to get a lung transplant as soon as possible. To meet the guidelines of the transplant I must lose 40-60 pounds. This has proven to be very difficult to me because it is costly to keep fresh fruit, vegetables and healthy food choices while on a fixed income. Exercise is also very limited due to my 32% lung function. I am on 4 liters of oxygen but I still walk slowly around my block every day. Thanks!
