$25 Lamps For Puerto Rico

Dear Friends, I have been down in Puerto Rico for two weeks working with local nonprofits and the International Medical Corps. I brought down 700 lamps in my suitcase having enquired to see what I could bring that would be useful and GUARANTEED to reach the people in need. Most of PUERTO RICO is still without electricity. These lamps are so gratefully received and so useful. They last 8 hours & recharge in the sun - and sunshine there is plenty of. Please share - please help us give more lights. Yesterday I went up to one of the poorest towns in the mountains I gave as many solar lights as I could to this little neighbourhood which sits in total darkness once the sun goes down. They are day 24 without power. The lamps seem to be the most efficient and safest way to help the elderly in the community. A elderly lady told me she was scared of setting fire to her house with candles but couldn’t see to get to the bathroom at night. They are estimating months to get the power back. This beautiful island needs all the love it can get. Please give generously. Af anything remaining in the fund to the International Medical Corps in Puerto Rico, with whom I shall be volunteering.
