Support Fund for Robin Gelberg
Hi, my name is Tina Grohowski; I am happy to call Robin Gelberg a dear friend for over 10 years. We originally met because of our mutual love for the music of Frank Zappa and as many of you may know, we have shared many fun adventures together over the years. Best friends are there for each other during good times and bad so I am writing today to ask you to help support Robin as she begins her recovery from a horrific car accident she thankfully survived.
On Wednesday, March 2nd, Robin and her dog Jam were on their way home from work on Rt. 74 near Shelby, North Carolina when an unsecured tool box flew off the bed of a truck in front of her, flying onto the highway which Robin's car hit head on at 60 miles per hour. Her vehicle flipped off the road and bounced around numerous times before landing; suffice to say it is a miracle that Robin and her little dog are alive today!
She is currently recovering in the hospital; the good news is that initial reports from the doctors indicate that she has not suffered any nerve damage.
As you can probably imagine, Robin is in severe pain and her road to what we hope will be a full recovery is going to be a long, arduous one.
While Robin does have both car and health insurance, we all know that the cost of co-pays & deductibles will add up very quickly with a catastrophic event like this. Robin no longer has a car to drive and at this early stage it is unclear how long it will take for her to recover and thus, who knows how long it will be before she can resume working again?
If you are like me, you might be wondering how you can help? I'm sure you would agree that if you were laying in a hospital bed right now, part of your worry would be associated costs involved with being laid up for an extensive amount of time. Please help lessen Robin's worries by donating now. All monies collected by this fundraiser will go directly to Robin to help defray the cost of the immediate bills associated with this accident. No donation amount is too small!
Please share the fundraiser link. Thank you in advance for your help and generosity.
