Ode 2 Brooklyn Events

Ode 2 Brooklyn started as being a fashion event that will showcase talent mainly from the community of Brooklyn, NY. 
The creative directors and Brooklyn natives Amoni B. and Sade "Ashley" McClendon have worked together from April 2013 to September 2013 for New York Fall Fashion Week 2013. However, these ladies have been social responsible and in entertainment for years prior to meeting one another. After there term for Fashion Week ended, and remaining in contact, they realized they had similar interest in the cause and the idea of Ode 2 Brooklyn formed. While brainstorming the idea of the show and kept developing until it was made into a solid plan by mid September 2013.

On July 26, 2014 in Brooklyn, NY Cypress Hills, ENY we held our Poetry is Life Event. Performers included Ifa Tu Much, Sade Ashley & Amoni B. We were able to raise $55. AWESOME!! Vive Entertainment Enterprises, LLC, who also provided a free photo session, recorded & did photography, sponsored and Brooklyn Billionairez provided the space Thanks to Stepanie & Cherae for hosting the aftermath. Special thanks to Ricky for the speakers. and a big thank you for all that came and may have provided assistance in any way. Our turn out was great during the performance we had 20 guest and for the aftermath sparatically  about 40  others came.

Although the picture clarity isn't there you can stiill tell the minds of these two directors are bright. They also performed poetry.

Ifa Tu Much managed to get a free photo session from Vive Entertainment Enterprises, LLC before the show. He performed and did an awesome job.

Our First Fashion Event show was on May 24, 2014 at Highland Park. We barbequed and provided refreshments. We featured raffles of cosmetics, jewelry, music and more for  $1 , $5 , and $10. Our sponsors included Victory & 2 Versatile Clothing, Victory Outreach Ministries, Lyne Carmel Joseph, and Vive Entertainment Enterprises, LLC. The Clothing Designers included 2 Versatile and 
Brooklyn Billionairez. Our Entertainment was a poetry performance by JuJu and a hiphop performance by Victory. A special thanks to DJ H Blendz who provided equipement, music, and DJing.

The show went on. We covered the gifts, food & vending tables. Guest mingled while Taye grilled.

ASIDE: The lifestyles brand, Ode 2 Brooklyn will now host a series unique events, provided free photo shoots and promotion throughout the year in order to create a platform for the talented and creative in the urban communities. We will then host a greater yearly event collaborating artists and people of all kinds to showcase their hobbies and themselves.

Ode 2 Brooklyn pays homage to Brooklyn and other urban communities with its variety of Cultures while creating a platform for new and up and coming talent (i.e.: fashion designers, performing artist, visual artist, under appreciated teens and adults)

The breakdown of funds:
+ $500 for Venue
+ $100 Decorations & Set up
+ $100 Giveaways & Misc

For bi-yearly main event: (we hope to pay everyone involved)
+ $70- Event Permits
+ $50 canopy RECIEVED from first donation
+ $70 generator rental
+ $300 (25 for each 12 talents up front) - deffered if no funds recieved
+ $300 For hair, makeup and stylist - deffered if no funds recieved
+ $400 For security and staff - volunteers are better
+ $225 Step and Repeat and runner DONATED FROM VIVE ENTERTAINMENT ENTERPRISES, llc
+ $300 Advertisement in a local Paper & Online on Facebook (OR
Printed ads) - also skipped without the additional funding

Expectation:
- Ode 2 Brooklyn main event to occur in Sept 2014 
- 4 Designers
- 20 Models
- 3 Talent performances
- A crowd of at least 100
