Boa Constructors FLL World Trip

Allow us to introduce FLL Team #7507 – The Boa Constructors, from Union, WV. The Boa Constructors are a 4-H robotics team that participates in the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Program. FLL is a robotics program designed by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), to inspire middle school students’ interest in science and technology.
On December 2nd, the Boa Constructors won the WV State Championship Tournament at Fairmont State University. With their state championship title, Maegan Crawford, Luke Fraley, Michael Fraley, Luke Jackson, Owen Jackson, Grace McClure, Seana Sabol, and Kyleigh Weikle earned the right to represent West Virginia at the FIRST World Championships in Detroit, Michigan this coming April. They are one of only 108 teams invited to represent over 29,000 teams that participated worldwide this year.
Our 4-H club will be bearing the cost of the trip for these middle schoolers and their coaches. Our estimates for full funding of this week of competition in Michigan is $15,000 which includes van or bus transportation to and from Detroit, five nights of lodging, the tournament registration fee, team uniform t-shirts, and a small daily stipend for the kids for meals during the week.
It is our hope that you will see this great opportunity for our Monroe County 4-Hers to represent our great state and be inclined to support them financially. As you consider your level of sponsorship, keep in mind this is a World Trip for State Champions. Help us send them on an experience of a lifetime!
All levels of support are greatly appreciated! Your tax deductible donations can be made through this site. Local donors can also make donations to the “Monroebotics 4H Club" at the Bank of Monroe.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support. Feel free to email us ([email redacted]) with any questions.
