A Devastating Car Accident :My Story

Hello to everyone who is reading. First and foremost thank you for taking time out of your life to read my story. My name is Zakeea I’m a 20 year old college student and on November 13, 2017 my life changed forever. I recall opening my eyes the left side of my face cut from broken glass and agonizing pain was pulsing in my left leg. It was a woman in my car holding my head up asking me questions to make sure that I was responsive. I could barely speak. To be honest I felt as if I was going to die. About 7 minutes pass by and the fire department arrives. A fire fighter is now assisting me through my situation. He places a blanket over me and tells me to prepare for a lot of loud noise and broken glass. The other fire fighters started to cut the drivers side of the door open. My left leg was stuck in between the seat and the broken car door. They finally cut the car door open. The paramedics arrive and now have to remove me from my car. When they removed me I started screaming and I wasn’t aware of my fractured leg. I was rushed to the hospital the doctor told me that I BROKE my left leg, SHATTERED my tailbone and pelvis and I had a COLLAPSED lung (due to the airbag collision). I had to have surgery the next day. I spent a week in the hospital. I wasn’t able shower, I had to use a bed pan to use the bathroom and I could not walk. I’m still unable to walk but I’m out of the hospital. I’m now at home with my family trying to find a lawyer that will pursue my case. This accident was devastating because I was just starting my life. I had to leave my job and stop going to school in order to properly heal.
