Cheap Wheels...or Repair Camelot...

I'm snowed under with no where else to turn:.

After being unemployed for 18 months (without any Government assistance), I have reached the breaking point and need a little help. I have 2 college degrees, over 15+ years of successful customer service/management employment experience in both the private and public sectors, and still cannot find employment. And, yes I am willing to take an entry level low wage position:.I just want a job!! Though still looking for employment (read searching desperately here but not falling for the Internet come ons to work at home), I started my own business selling vintage and handmade items on Etsy and eBay(understand that these are family items that I am selling to try to make ends meet). Well as luck would have it my trusty car of 15 years decided to make my life even more challenging by giving up the ghost just when the business was starting to show a smidgeon of a profit. I am trying to raise funds to repair the old car or purchase a cheap, and I do mean cheap, car so that when I get that elusive job....I can get to work. Public transportation in my area is a joke and every employer seems to ask "Do you have reliable transportation to work?" My current budget will only allow for 500.00 for a car, and so far no luck in that price range. To repair the old car will cost 1200.00 and no guarantee that the engine will still work...but either way I have to have transportation. I am still searching for that job....and hopefully my luck will change...but in the meantime I need a little help from my friends..... This site requires a goal amount but any amount will be welcome.....1.00, 2.00, 5.00...etc...... All I need is a break... however small and I can fight the rest of the way......
