The forensic community, families, victims of murder, rape and assault, unsolved cold cases, and other violent crimes will benefit for the Angie Dodge GoFundMe account.
The funds will be help nonprofit cold case foundations and under-funded Police Departments to test DNA samples, purchase equipment that will ultimately help solve cold cases.
Angie Dodge was brutally murdered on June 13, 1996. Shortly after Angie’s murder, I realized that many police departments did not have financial resources to pursue new forensic technologies to help solve difficult cases. Many State Laboratories have not adopted new advanced forensic technologies, therefore; some crime scene samples need outsourced to Private Labs that use newer technology. Rural areas and smaller police departments are under-funded and they do not have the financial ability to send difficult hard to solve cold case to private laboratories. Your donations collected through the Angie’s GoFundMe account will be used to financial assist under-funded law enforcement to help with solve cold cases sooner than later. The Angie Dodge GoFundMe has been established in her honor to be help other families find justice.
There are more than 260,000 unsolved cold cases in the United State at this time. Many families have waited months, years, and even decades for answers. Any small contributions gives Hope for Justice for victims of violent crime.
