My school has given me the opportunity to take a trip of a lifetime! I really hope that I get to go, because I know that I may never get a chance again. My Mamaw and Papa are 60 years old, and they have never been. My Grandpa used to live in New York, so I would love to see where he grew up. I look forward to the whole trip, but I am most excited to see the New York City lights from the top of the Empire State Building. I can't wait to visit the 9/11 Memorial. I want to see the survivor tree. I want to honor the people who lost their lives that day. It means a lot to me.
We will be visiting some of the most important historical sites in our country. The trip dates are March 15 -21 . We will be gone 7 days and 6 nights. March 15 we will travel to Charlottesville,VA . March 16 we will tour Monticello (home of Thomas Jefferson) and later that evening the Ghost Tour of Gettysburg. March 17 we tour Gettysburg National Military Park. That afternoon we tour Independence Hall and get to visit the Liberty Bell.
Then in the evening we bus over to NYC! March 18 Full day touring NYC ! Central Park , Lincoln Center , theatre District, Rockafeller Plaza, Radio City, St. Patricks Cathedral, Fifth Avenue, American Museum of Natural History, Empire State Building, United Nations, March 19 take Ferry to Liberty Island, then ferry to Ellis Island . That night we have Bubba Gumps in Times Square, then it's off to see Aladdin on BROADWAY ! March 20 we travel back to Manhattan for backstage tours of Rockafellar, Radio City Music Hall St. Patrick's Cathedral, THE WORLD TRADE CENTER MEMORIAL. We will begin our travel back to Moody at 3:00 p.m. And arrive around 9a.m. March 21.
I have been working hard trying to earn the money to attend the trip. If I receive more than I need to attend the trip, then I will donate it to a close friend that is trying to fund raise as well.
I understand if you cannot help financially, just PRAY! We have to raise a lot of the money to make a big payment by December 6th !
