Failing Laptop, comes crashing down.

Hello!A little bit about myself is that I am a Senior in High School, so I’m graduating now. I spent all of my four years, working hard, writing papers, and trying to be the best that I can be. They say that a “mans best friend is his dog”, but my best friend is my laptop. Unfortunately, during the night of January 31st, my laptop came crashing. It was already going slow, but since I didn’t want to get a new one, I stuck with it and pulled through. Literally, I was doing my homework on my laptop, when I fell asleep with it on my lap. I got really tired and didn’t realize that I was knocked out and then I heard a ‘smack,’ on the floor and saw my laptop face first on the ground. I opened it up to see if it was damaged because it looked fine, since it was closed. When I opened it, half the screen was black and cracked. That is when I knew that, part of my life had been gone. I know it might seem as a funny thing to say, but my laptop is everything. It is where I communicate with friends, send emails, work on essays (which I won’t be able to do from home now), and do my creative writing. A new laptop would be amazing for my education, especially since I got into college and will be needing one for the fall semester. The laptop I found online was a MacBook Air, it is very costly and the cheapest one I found was $899. It saddens me that in this stage of my life, for something like this to happen to me. My mother is a single parent living in a town, where it’s expensive. Since she is the only one taking care of me (apart from my grandmother), there are other bills that need to be paid and I don’t want her worry about my laptop. I don’t really ask anyone for anything, but it would be nice if you could donate, even if it’s something small. That would mean a lot to me. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it a lot.
