Illinois Takes Big Fish To Nationals

UPDATE: Well we paid for our transportation (the first 25K--thanks everyone!), now we need to pay for projections. We are raising money for three projectors and the projectionist to travel to Nebraska with us. As you can see by our photos, the projections added so much to our story with rear projections and animations, and projections on each of our massive panels. Help us make our show the best it can be! Keep sharing!
For the first time ever, an Illinois All-State production (Big Fish) has been accepted to perform at the International Thespian Festival (ITF). The production received nearly perfect scores and now the Company is raising money to bring its show to the ITF in June!
The Illinois High School Theatre Festival (IHSTF), produced by the Illinois Theatre Association, is the largest Festival of its kind in the nation. Each year more than 4,500 students immerse themselves in a weekend filled with performances, workshops, college auditions, and more. One of the highlights of this year's IHSTF was the All-State production of Big Fish, which featured 107 of the best actors, technicians, and musicians our state has to offer.
Throughout this last year, in only five intensive weekends, Company Members worked with fifteen teachers and theatre professionals volunteering their time to teach and support these exceptional students to create a Broadway level production which other states, and countries, can marvel. Our All-State Company Members are simply outstanding individuals. Won’t you please support their work?
All contributions are tax deductible, as the ITA is a 501(c)3 organization.
