A young somali mother of 5 struggling to say in the uk. She in in a risk of losing her house and getting deported.Halimo omar is 28 years old mother of 2 boys and 3 girls. One of the girls is disabled.She came to the uk December 2007 with a spouse visa. She got arranged marriages when she was 17 years old. she was forced to came to a country where she didn’t know the language or anybody. Her husband didn’t apply for her the indefinite to remain in the uk. For several years she just had visa. After 6 years of marriage he divorced her and the only way for her to stay in the uk was to get an extension visa for another 3 years. On October 2017 she when to a somali community center to get help with filling in the indefinite to remain in the uk form and he filled in the wrong form. On the 9 of March 2018 she received a letter from the home office to tell her that she has filled the wrong form. Unfortunately her visa has already expired on the 25/11/2017 and she can no longer apply for the indefinite to remain in the uk. Today we went to a lawyer and she explained to us what are the options she has. The only option she has is to to get an family visa for her and the 5 kids. The visa is £2000 each and the travel documents. She wants to take her disabled daughter to a country and try to find help for her.She has no family members in the uk to give her a helping hand and she is pleading for your help and support.She no longer is allowed to get any support from the government. Housing benefits, income support and child tax credit. The only way she can get help is to have a valid visa.
