Daphnee Mariah Jay Serbantez, age 2 of East Los Angeles CA, passed away 2 hours after being released from Monterey Park Hospital emergency room on Tuesday March 13, 2018
Monday, March 12, 2018 mother Yasmeen took Daphnee to the emergency room for vomiting and diarrhea. She was sent home with no medication stating it was a virus.
Tuesday, March 13, 2018 Yasmeen noticed Daphnee was not getting any better. Yasmeen took Daphnee back to Monterey Park emergency room where they ran blood test and gave her IV fluids for 1 hour and discharged her home again saying everything was okay.
2 hours later Yasmeen noticed Daphnee was still not getting better and noticed her dosing in and out of couscous so Yasmeen rushed her back to Monterey Park emergency room where she was told to wait in line to register. Yasmeen in a panic forced her was through the doors to find a doctor. When the doctor seen Daphnee was not responding they immediately started CPR. One hour later we where told there was nothing they can do for Daphnee. The hospital had no answer on what the cause of death was nor why she was released 2 times prior.
She was dearly loved by her mother Yasmeen Anguiano and father Johnny Serbantez. She leaves behind her 3 year old brother Damian Serbantez and 1 year old sister Danielle Serbantez. Not to mention her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We are asking with a heavy heart for any type of donation as this was a unexpected tragedy to help put our beautiful princess to rest and any remaining funds will go toward her immediate family to help them get through this difficult time.
