Paul Hanks: His Path to Health!

Donation protected
Paul Hank's 5-day survival, alone in Joshua Tree National Park in Palm Springs, California, from March 11 - March 15, 2018, is a miracle.  While hiking, he slipped off the edge of the trail, falling approximately 20 feet, crashing onto boulders as he repeatedly bounced down the rock wall.

He survived in the desert by drinking rain water and chewing on cactus pulp, with skull, face, pelvic and heel fractures.  He buried his body in the sand to keep warm during the 30 degree nights.  His is a story of blessings, an incredible will to survive, and heroic efforts by the Joshua Tree Search and Rescue (JOSAR) to successfully bring him out.

Now comes an equally challenging part:  healing.  Paul, his family and friends are extremely grateful that he is getting the best medical care available to him.  We also understand that his care and rehabilitation will be expensive.

For most of Paul's law career, he focused on helping "the regular person" get the medical care and financial support they needed by pursuing their Workers Compensation cases.  It has been work of passion and commitment to those in need.  Paul stood by the side of the injured workers and advocated for them.

Insofar as you are able to contribute to Paul's healing fund, he, his family, and friends are very appreciative of your generosity.  The goal is to raise well over $20,000.  If there is a benefactor who is able to make dreams come true, it would be a dream come true to raise $100,000.   From the proceeds, a donation will be made to the Joshua Tree Search and Rescue (JOSAR) in thanksgiving for saving Paul's life (we're all eternally grateful!).  Your donations, small and large are very important.

Paul is a kind, loving grandfather, father, family man, son, brother, and friend.  Through his life's work, he has always been a friend of the underdog, helping those in need.  He is determined, driven to heal quickly, and undeterred by the road that lies ahead (it has to be easier than drinking rain water, eating cactus, and burying himself in sand!).

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
