One-Day Homeless Resource Fair

Project Homeless Connect Oakland will offer a ONE DAY RESOURCE FAIR where homeless people can receive on-the-spot services and find out about dozens of local resources, all under one roof. The event will be held at Mosswood Park in Oakland on Friday, February 19 from 10-3 pm. The project will also disperse  a limited number of hotel vouchers for weekly stays.

Homeless people live in crisis day to day, trying to make sense of the network of programs in our community to help them - it takes time to find the right places, it takes money to travel between locations, and it can get confusing, tiring, and demoralizing. This event aims to bring services to the people increasing access to much needed resources.

Services provided will include:

-haircuts
-feet washing
-medical care
-dental care
-HIV/AIDS testing
-employment
-housing
-food
-hygeine kits

Funds will be used for space rental, food, materials, and other supplies needed to make this event happen.

Project Homeless Connect is a national evidence-based model that has been proven in other communities. Help us make it happen for homeless families and individuals in the East Bay!
