Paying It Forward
Pay It Forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. The concept is old, but the phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book In the Garden of Delight.
Therefore it seems appropriate that this campaign is called 'Pay It Forward' as funds raised will be go directly to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland in recognition of the extra, voluntary work done by The Transfer Tutor (Online AQE/GL App) in supporting the parents through the whole transfer process - mainly through the free Facebook Support Group.
This support ranges from help with specific questions, support on how to encourage a child, understanding the next steps in the journey and offers parents a place to reach out for help on a wide range of topics. The ethos is simple - maximise help to minimise stress.
It was important to me to choose a charity based in Northern Ireland and with cancer touching the lives of so many people, young and old, I've chosen Cancer Focus Northern Ireland and any donation will help make an impact - so please click on the link and help a little. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
