Jenny loved Ecuador and mostly the people of Ecuador. We moved here not knowing what the adventure would be, or how the path would twist and turn along the way. We simply trust that God would open doors and close them along the way. We have seen many examples of HIS lead since January of 2016 when we said. Yes Lord your servants are ready. Where shall we go? Crucita, Ecuador. South American was not on our radar. We always thought Mexico, or Central America but not Ecuador. Upon arrival we met many people and worked hard to adjust to the life of this small fishing community.
Many have asked me when I will be moving back to the US. My response: Probably never. Jenny and I love Ecuador and had just seen another open door in May of 2017 when we finally were able to meet Cristian and Lissette. An Ecuadorian couple from Porto Viejo that had been ministering to the children and families of Crucita before the great Earthquake in April of 2016 then felt compelled to move to Crucita permanently. Sorry for the little diversion, however it leads up to this. Jenny (and I) simply "know in our knower" that this was the reason we were brought to Crucita. We had many discussions of where we may see the direction of this new relationship going and were committed to following this thru along with our new friends in Jesus.
We already had started the ground work for a U.S. non profit organization. Verdad Y Vida is already established in Ecuador.
Jenny lived life to the fullest, always loving the Lord with faith not only to live by but also to die by. She touched many lives along her journey and hoped that they too would find that same saving grace. As a memorial to Jenny please consider contributing to https://www.gofundme.com/5fiuteo to further the work with Verdad Y Vida.
