I am a single father of three girls. I am fighting to protect my children from continued abuse.
Since finding out in July of 2017 that my wife was abusing my three children, I had to take my children and leave our home.
After over a year of intense legal battles, I won full custody of my three young girls. Now having to start over after escaping an abusive situation, it is becoming clear that there are little to no programs or services out there to help single fathers.
After a year of applying, I was denied the assistance needed in order to be able to get out and earn an income. I am now stuck between the rock and hard place of trying to pay for childcare in order to provide.
I have exhausted the resources of my extended family in the fight to save my children from an abusive home.
What would be fairly easy for a woman in the same circumstance, is proving to be impossible for a man.
