Help Alex Tingley Beat Cancer!
Alex is a charismatic, energetic little boy with loving parents (Katie and Chris Tingley) and a sweet older brother (Owen). While celebrating Christmas, Alex’s uncle noticed a lump on the 4-year-old’s throat. Katie and Chris immediately too Alex to their local hospital and received worrisome news; their doctor recommended a consultation at Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. The remarkable staff confirmed Chris and Katie’s worst fear: Alex was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Katie immediately shutdown her daycare in order to be at Alex’s side at the hospital. Chris continues to work, but must travel nearly two hours to see his wife and child. Alex’s big brother, Owen misses having his parents and little brother at home. Hospital expenses, (initially a one month stay), travel-to-and-from Buffalo, two additional years of treatment, and Katie’s loss of income are some of the reasons they really need your help.
Alex loves playing outside, his dogs, and riding his bike. He’s a bit of a daredevil that tries his very best to keep up with his older brother, Owen whom he idolizes. It’s hard for Alex to understand why he is frequently bedridden and has to be poked and prodded. His parents have told him his blood is sick, so he has to stay at the hospital.
Everyone remains hopeful for a full recovery. Let’s pull together as a community to help make this difficult diagnosis a little easier to beat. Please give what you can and pray for this sweet child.
