Care fund for our sweet Lucy

This is 3 year old Lucy. She is loving, carefree and always has a smile on her face. On July 13, 2019 she was sitting outside enjoying the neighborhood fireworks. Lucy was hit by a wayward firework in the back of the head. This impact  caused many fractures and a brain bleed. She had to have surgery Sunday morning  to fix her skull and brain with two metal plates and screws.

Surgery went well.  The doctor found one bigger fracture and a lot of little ones, remarking that it looked like she had been hit in the head with a hammer Thankfully, there was only a pin-sized rupture in the dura membrane of her brain, that took one stitch. The fracture was in between two major blood vessels, but luckily missed them both. She is currently in the PICU and will be for several days. 

Marie and Ron are my neighbors. Lucy is the 2nd youngest out of their 5 beautiful children.  Ron and Marie are doing everything they can so they can both can be with Lucy. They have family alternating shifts to stay with the other children while they are away.

Ron is currently off work due to a work related injury. Expenses are adding up quickly. The Bukis family are kind and will always help others in time of need. They are the ones in need this time.
