Dahlia's Life Fund

Every parent dreams of their children growing up to have children of their own. Dahlia's mother still holds onto those dreams for her daughter. After Dahlia's life-changing and devastating diagnosis with brain cancer this May, at the age of two, her mother has set out on a journey to save her daughter's life. After five misdiagnoses, the first part of their journey led them to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, where Dahlia has undergone several months of aggressive chemotherapy. Her most recent MRI in December shows that her tumor is stable; however, due to the location of her tumor it cannot be removed for verification that her cancer cells are dead or dying. She will be monitored for the rest of her life. She will always need special attention and extensive medical care. Dahlia has lived the majority of the past eight months in hospitals, where she has survived many life-threatening procedures and the harsh side effects of toxic treatments. She will be released to undergo the remainder of her treatments from the comfort of her own home. While her mother hopes to one day be able to provide a stable life for Dahlia, her hope today is to provide all of the love and comfort she can to her suffering daughter. We hope to raise enough to fund housing, extraneous medical care, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses to allow Dahlia to explore all possible treatment options and to allow her mother to be able to focus solely on saving Dahlia's life.More information on Dahlia can be found at www.dahliastrong.org
