Mission Trip to Guatemala

My name is Daenne Dolce, I am a Senior at Florida International University (FIU). I am part of GlobeMed which is an organization that focuses on Global issues, partners with different organizations, and underdeveloped countries to bring solutions to Global issues.  FIU’s chapter partners with Escuela De La Calle which is a school located in Guatemala. My last project as an undergrad will be a Mission  in Guatemala where I will serve as the coordinator of the Mission Trip. My team and I will spend 4-8 weeks in Guatemala during the summer of 2019 assisting Escuela De La Calle with projects such as hanging gardens and renewable resources such as solar energy, as well as helping out with teaching the students English. 
I believe in Education, and I believe that access to Education is a right not a privilege.
