My daughters pets were killed

Hello everybody, what i have to share is heartbreaking and tragic. My name is Joseph R Meyer and my daughter is 9 years old. On 12/12/2015 my mother's house was broken into by our neighbor's son, a 14-year-old who is mentally disturbed, while I was away and my mother was shopping. The 14-year-old, once in our home, proceeded to kill all the animals in the house using his hands and a b-b gun. We lost our african grey parrot named Hans. Hans was a lovable, happy parrot who brought joy to our entire family. He was shot dead in his cage. Also killed was Buddy, a bearded dragon. Buddy was my daughter's Christmas present last year. My daughter spent hours upon hours researching all of the information available on the internet to best care for this lizard. She did this in agreement between us on the condition of me allowing her to have one as a pet. She would say "ask me any question about bearded dragons Dad, go ahead and ask". Buddy was shot several times in the head and remained alive. We took him to the Henrietta emergency pet clinic, but he could not be saved. Also killed was my 70-year-old mother's two cocketiels of 20 years, Drac and Varlerie, which my deceased father bought for her as Valentines Day present; they were strangled. The perpetrator then proceeded to try and catch my mother's siamese cat "Baby Boy". We purchased him as a companion after my father's death. Baby Boy managed to escape. The perpetrator then proceeded to exit the back of the house and shoot out all the windows on the back of the house. I recently had to spend over $2000 on truck repairs and with Christmas coming, I can't afford to purchase a new parrot for daughter; I have been doing home improvement jobs on the side while I am looking for employment. This is the reason we are living with my mother. The money will be used to buy a new parrot which will be given a loving, caring home for the duration of its life. We will purchase a new cage as well. The hardest thing I've ever had to experience was hearing my mothers panicked phone call delivering this terrible news and then having to explain what happened to my daughter. Everyone who has animals understands this loss, but this is a level of violence to innocent animals and a 9-year-old little girl that is hard to comprehend. My daughter loved and gave great efforts to provide care and love for her pets. A young boy destroyed what she held close in her heart. PLEASE HELP ME RETURN HER PETS TO HER.
A special thanks to the Webster Police Department for the fine police work they performed in apprehending this troubled youth so quickly, as well as the staff at the Emergency Henrietta Animal Hospital on White Spruce for their care and compassion in trying to save Buddy the bearded dragon.
