Help 5th & Wyatt drop their album!
Donation protected
I know we’ve been saying this for a couple years, but now we really MEAN it! After 3 years of writing, producing, and recording for our debut full length album “Circadian Rhythms”, we are finally ready to take the big steps towards finishing it and releasing our Boom Bap music to all the Hip Hop heads out there, with your help of course. Our sound will take you back to the Golden Era with heavy hitting drums backed by chunky bass lines which lay the foundation for mind opening and heart felt lyrics delivered with a fluid flow from both 5th & I. You can check out our music videos for “Over & Over” and “Third Eye’s Blind” below.

A little over a year ago, I (Wyatt) started a campaign to raise money to release my album with my band Speaker Minds titled “Gumbo Grooves”. I asked for donations in exchange for preordered copies of the albums, shirts, hoodies, free admission to upcoming shows, music video cameo slots, and more. It was wildly successful! We rose close to $4,000, which was the only way we were able to put the finishing touches on the album and successfully release it in January 2016 on FNBeatsgalore Records. We are hoping to find the same results with this campaign, by offering all kinds of Hip Hop goods in exchange for a donation to help us reach our goal. Here is a breakdown of what the funding will be going towards:
Mixing and Mastering: $800
We are very lucky to know so many talented engineers in the Portland Hip Hop community who can mix and master our music to sound just like we imagined it. This is a crucial part of the album process, and in order to do it right, we need to be able to pay the engineers adequately.
CD and Vinyl Pressing: $1700
This price will vary depending on demand, but $1700 should cover our first run of CDs and Vinyl based off the research we have done. You may be asking yourself why we are choosing to press up vinyl…. Well, vinyl has made a huge come back, especially in Hip Hop, and is actually selling better than CDs are these days!
Marketing: $ 2000
In order to make the noise that we hope to make, we have to market the album right! That means getting artwork done, shooting videos, getting on radio shows, finding outlets to do write ups on our album, booking and promoting the release show, and coordinating the listening party. This process can get expensive, but with your support we can make it all happen.
Merchandise: $1500
Merchandise is essential! People love to showcase their favorite groups on their bodies and we want to give our amazing supporters that opportunity. We are pretty confident that once you hear the album you’ll want to rock the shirts, hoodies, beanies, and hats that we plan to come out with. And we will keep you updated on designs and colors once the ball gets rolling.
