Send 5th Grade to Washington

Our 5th grade class, consisting of 42 bright and inquisitive students, has the chance of a lifetime – right around the corner. It is our dream and goal to have each and every student experience this nation’s capital first hand like never before. We’ve taken virtual field trips, read informational texts, and discussed the importance of the historical places that we now hope to visit in Washington, D.C. for three days and two nights - meals, transportation, and lodging inclcued!  Our trip date is set for April 6th - 8th and a deposit is due for $1,500 is due on January 31st, 2016.  This trip is of utmost importance to the students and community as a whole.  Being in a school that is affected by high poverty - students who have a chance for a trip like this will be in the minority.  Opportunities for cultural experiences and personal interactions like this are few and far between.
