Down Payment & Mobility Assistance

I've been disabled for about 15 years, but up until a year ago my mobility has gotten worse than it's ever been. We desperately need to move into a single level home, so I can get around the house easier. I'm not able to climb stairs anymore due to long-term weight struggles, a fall & torn ACL / Lateral Meniscus. My knees give out quite often & I need knee replacement surgery. I've been approved for a power chair but can't get it while living in the house we're renting. (Insurance won't pay for it until we're in a single level home/apartment that's wheelchair accessible) It will also allow me to get out of the house, do things on my own or as a family & attend school functions with our children. We also just lost our vehicle so we're in need of a used car/van. The down payment for it is 1,500.00 . My husband Marvin Knight is a hard working truck driver, he rarely makes it home, he tries to get as many miles as possible.  He sleeps in his truck since we don't have a car anymore.  Our monthly income has dropped significantly. Our daughter and I haven't received an SSI payment in over 6 months because social security bases payments on my husband's income. (if your spouse makes $2,000 a month you can't receive an SSI payment despite being disabled).  My husband takes care of the rent, utilities & what little groceries we can afford. Most months my husband is unable to get his medication filled, even with the insurance its still 100+ dollars. We're falling behind daily. I have private duty nursing Mon - Friday for a few hours a day, & on the weekends our 14 year old daughter helps around the house. She's amazing & we are so thankful for her. I recently enrolled in school (online) to obtain my degree in medical billing and coding. That is something I can do 100% from home. Although it will take some time, I will be able to help out financially & we can pull ourselves out of this hole. Please take a moment to share if you're unable to donate.
