Dear friends and family,
As we all know, a few years ago there was a frightening disease call Ebola that swept through West Africa. This terrible disease took thousands of lives and left many orphans.
My husband and I come from Liberia, West Africa and we know first hand just how hard it is to go through starvation and to fight for survival. We know the sad plight of so many of these bereft children in our home country and know it could have been our reality too if God had not intervened through the blessing of adoption. All those who helped make this possible through the grace of God gave to us the gift of hope and a future in this world. Most importantly, they strengthened our faith in Christ Jesus.
We are asking you to please help us give that same hope and future to some special children that God has laid upon our hearts. Through much prayer we have decided to adopt three children from Liberia, West Africa.
Let me introduce you to them. Grace, a two year old little girl lost her mother during childbirth. Grace's mom was my cousin. Patrick is a six year old little boy and Jeremiah is his eight year old brother. These boys are my husband's sister's children, our sweet nephews. My husband's sister died from the deadly disease of Ebola.
We have been blessed with two children so far and are expecting a new baby in July. Our oldest, Samuel Jr. will be five years in March and Eureka will be three years in May.
We would especially love your support of prayer as we undertake this big venture of adoption. Any financial gifts that God may place on your heart to help our family unite together would be gratefully received. We are pressing ahead with faith that God will make a way for our dream of becoming a Mommy and Daddy to these little ones.
Thank you,
Selah and Samuel Godfrey
