I read her testimony yesterday:
"In the truth monetary gain is almost non-existent, and sometimes things fall all the way apart. I have had more 48 hr notices then I care to talk about, went without heat all last week being out of propane with 2 small children, literally was piecing together meals with what was in the garden and what we had stored away for a time just like this, I have stayed home and only left when necessary because we have no money for gas....Yet I have written 2 books with two that are in the making, graduating in 2 months,entering into a master's program, My chickens started laying eggs during the week where things were lean, and most of all I am still HERE. The righteous are not forsaken, and I have yet to beg bread. I pray that ahaYah makes me a better steward over what he has for me in the future, and that those who are out there will read this and be encouraged in the these type of times. I just know it has to get better!
I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
Philippians 4:12"
These scriptures came to mind:
“Only, there should be no poor among you. For יהוה does greatly bless you in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to possess as an inheritance, (Deuteronomy 15:4 )
My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it? So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. (James 2:14-18 )
We are Yisrael and we are commanded to take care of our own-- our sister has blessed us with "humbled by his presence"-- Todah Yah. Now she has fallen on hard times in the same way many of us have. Please let us come together and help, we are great in numbers, so anything you can offer will go along way. Those who absolutely cannot, keep our sister and her family in your prayers.
Service to our brothers and sisters is service unto Abba Yah.
