Paramedic with a Gold Heart
Donation protected
Doug is an exceptional person; he would give you the shirt off his back to help you. He has provided medical services for many events with MedTech over the past years and has slowly built upon his collection of medical equipment to do so.
Last week about $14,000 worth of EMS equipment was stolen from his ambulance: medical kits, AED's (defibrillators) and portable radios.
Without this lifesaving equipment he can't properly do his job: Helping Others and Saving Lives.
Unfortunately his insurance will not cover these costs.
Please help support him by offering any donation.
Thank you and God Bless!
Additional Note: My name is Sarah Chow, Doug House is a good friend of mine. 100% of the money raised through gofundme is going to Doug House. This money is to help him get back on his feet and recover some of the loses he faced when the equipment from his private ambulances were stolen. His intention is to purchase new equipment so that he can get back out to the communities he serves and provide medical services at events for the public. Doug House has his own private medical services company MedTechEMS http://medtechems.ca and does not work for BCAS. His team of professionals are comprised of EMRs and Primary Care Paramedics (PCP).
Since 1975 Doug has held a large number of first aid and EMS certifications:
He obtained his certification as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) in 2012 from the Canadian Red Cross. On the scale of various levels of Paramedics, he is classified as a Basic Paramedic.
Doug has been involved in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) since 1975.
Doug is a First Aid Instructor with the Canadian Red Cross.
He has also obtained Urban/Ground Search and Rescue certification through the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC).
