Blessings Dear Angel Helpers.

For as long as I can remember, I have self-identified as male, despite having female genitals and cleavage. Three years ago, I decided to do something about it. While working with my doctors, we recently made a shocking discovery: I was born “Two Spirit,” having both male and female genitalia.

You see, many years ago, my teenage mother gave me up for adoption at the hospital on December 24th, my date of birth. I have never met my birth mother, father or any family members; that info has been kept from me, though, I am eternally grateful to my biological mother for having the courage and strength to give me life at such an early age and in such turbulent times.

Prior to entering foster care as a newborn in Flint, Michigan, my doctors recently discovered that the surgeons back then may have removed my “lower extremities” ( male genitalia) which left me "appearing" as a female. We now know this procedure was done simply out of convenience.

Learning this about myself finally explains why my brain and endocrine system continuously signal I am a male. However, my breasts were left to develop and I was forced to be socialized as female. Until NOW! With your support, I will have these tissues removed and finally be at peace in my own skin.

I cannot adequately express how appearing as a female, yet being a male, has been an every-day battle for me. All 86,400 seconds in a day, multiplied by 365 days in a year, compounded over a lifetime, has been overwhelmingly difficult, confusing and challenging. But still I rise, keep a positive flow and my chin up. I know Spirit has my back.

Now that I’ve found the courage to share my story, I recognize I need to ask for help. Throughout my life, I have successfully triumphed over many hurdles. But I cannot overcome this financial leap alone.
