Help for Heather!!

We (Alix's friends) started this at the request from Heather's daughter, Alix.
Monday January 22nd Heather went into Kaiser ER with cold like symptoms and chest pain. They gave her an oxygen mask and turned it up 100%, her oxygen level was not at a place where she could survive. She was diagnosed with a viral and bacterial strept-pneumonia and influenza “b” (the bad one this year), and multiple organ dysfunction.
Kaiser put her in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator. They tried to pump her full of antibiotics but after two days they had to do an emergency transfer to Legacy Emmanuel neuro-trama ICU.
After they brought her to Legacy Emmanuel, they told us that their last resort was an ECMO procedure. The ECMO removes blood from the body, adds oxygen, removes the carbon dioxide, warms the blood than returns the blood back to her body. I was informed after the procedure that the chances of her making it out of the procure was less than 30%. She made it.
We are now living at the hospital. My mom is in the ICU, in critical condition and on 2 different types of life support. There is a very real possibility she could not make it
Update on 1/28
My mom is still in a medically induced coma, medically paralyzed, on an ECMO, septic, kidneys are failing, the ECMO is working for her heart and lungs by putting oxygen into her bloodstream, so they are basically shut off, she can’t regulate her blood pressure, she’s had SVT & a fib, she has a brain bleed, she is retaining so much fluid she put on 22 pounds in 24 hours.
This morning we got a little bit of good news. There was a very good chance that her lungs were too far beyond repair, on the x-ray it was a white out, and lungs should look black on an x-ray, they were completely white, zero airways. On this morning’s x-ray, I started to see airways, which means her lungs are not too far gone.
The funds collected will go directly to Heather's family. Heather and her husband both aren't working right now. Alix is out of work and having to travel from her home in Washington back and forth to be with her mom in Oregon. They're also losing their health insurance and will need help with this mounting medical bills. <3
