I am a laid off employee as a result of a national crisis. I serve my country and my community. Not sure when the next check is coming and I am terrified.
My husband, Jay had open heart surgery on October 5th. As a result of complications he was flown back to Honolulu and went into cardiac arrest just after landing. He survived. He was in an induced coma for 3 days and in ICU for 10. He remained in hospital for most of October and is still recovering. He needed round the clock care and I stayed at his side every hour. Feeding, bathing...everything.
Missed our first check today. Car, phone, insurance all due.
This is my second campaign. I collected 300 from Jay’s Open Heart Surgery fund to help pay for Jay’s medical expenses. Here I am again.
