In Memory Of Connie Koontz

Just one week ago, our family experienced a sudden, and tragic death of a beautiful and jubilant family member. Connie Koontz, our sister, mother, aunt, daughter and friend was murdered in her home during a burglary, just one day before her mom’s 80th birthday, and just 5 days before her own 57th birthday. As shock continues to smack us in the face, we still find ourselves wondering how someone can literally take the life of the happiest, and kindest woman on earth with the most infectious smile and laugh. Nevertheless, here we are; a family and community forever scarred by this catastrophic loss.
Her 21 year old daughter, and best friend, Madison, is taking on a horrendous amount of responsibility as she grieves and awaits the answers that she and the rest of the family so desperately need. We are now reaching out, asking for help to pay some immediate expenses. The community has been so wonderful during this unbelievable event and we appreciate every prayer, note and memory that has been shared along the way. She was loved and will be remembered by so many. Hug one another, stay humble and kind, and be safe. More importantly, remember to spread happiness, not hate. That is the most contagious feeling of all. That’s what Connie would have wanted.
