My beloved friend Abbie lives in Paradise, CA. Abbie has not only lost her home in the Camp Fire, but also confirmed that she lost her kindergarten classroom as well. Abbie was one of the heroic teachers who got her students out of Ponderosa Elementary, rode the bus with them, and stayed with them until each student was reunited with their family.

This was Abbie’s first year teaching kindergarten. She spent every single day of her summer vacation working in her room and making it a special space for her students. I know that mostly all of her special space came from her own pocket. Abbie will be working to rebuild her home with her fiancé. Please help her rebuild her school home. I know she’ll want her new space to be a refuge for her students who have lost everything.
