Mercy For Mursi
Donation protected
I am Biyokuri Bidameri, from Mursi Ethiopia and Burlington Vt. I’m going back to Ethiopia this spring and raising money for my community who are facing displacements hunger and violence. We traditionally care for the land and use the Omo Valley river to do our life giving work. We work hard and are always happy. It has been six years now since we have been pushed from our land and water and our cattle by the Ethiopian government. Every night when I sit down for dinner and I put my food on the table, all I want is to be able to bring this little bit to my people. I want my people to survive. I am raising money to help my tribe who are always hungry. I am the only member of my tribe in the western world and I try to help because no one else can be here for my community. Mursi is depending on me and so I want to be there for them. When I travel home I will use this money to bring my people food and water. I want my people to be able to live and bring their gifts to the world again. I hope this message will be sent all around the world and the whole world can see our pain and join in my care and together we can help with whatever we have and begin to heal our grief and loss.
