The Historic Village at Allaire

Tax deductible
The Historic Village at Allaire is a living history museum and a 501(c(3)) non-profit.  We are located in Wall, New Jersey and have been a museum for almost 60 years.  As a living history museum, we demonstrate the life and times of ordinary people during the early 1800s.

We are run almost entirely by volunteers; currently we have about 200 volunteers who range in age from 5 years old to 101 years. Many of our volunteers are teenagers and gain leadership experience with our museum. Funds help to supply them with costumes, workshops, craft materials for demonstrations, and the like.

All of our museum buildings are on their original foundations and were constructed between 1750 and 1836.  Over the past 10 years many of our museum buildings have been falling into disrepair: windows are broken, water leaks into houses, paint is peeling and wood is rotting. Without your help, these buildings might disappear.

The funds donated will allow us to keep our museum open, free of charge, for most of the year.  History should be a right for all, not just a privilege for the wealthy.  Please help us continue to make history enjoyable and hands-on for all of our visitors and volunteers. Thank you so much for your support. We hope to see you at the museum weekends from March to December.
