Help feed those who helped feed thousand
My name is Abraham, I"m a 14 yr old Holdstein Oxen. I was brought to live at Sangha Farm with my half brother Moses when we were 48 hrs old. The Farmers there bottle fed us until we were old enough to start training to work in their organic vegetable fields.
During our hay day we helped plow the fields, bring produce up from the field, give children and adults wagon rides. We even appeared on the cover of a newspaper with a wagon full of head lettuce that was grown for the local food pantry.
We worked hard but we also got to graze on beautiful lush pasture that we helped restore. We loved helping to grow food for local low income senior citizens, the food pantry, CSA members, and Farmers' Market customers.
We all retired from farming 3 years ago, 2 years ago we said good-bye to my partner Moses. I've been living with 3 sheep ,Tapio, Tava and Honey Bunny, and 3 retired dairy goats - Bonnie, Tilly and Lady. Our humans love us alot and are determined to let us live our lives out on the farmland we grew up on. However the expense of feeding us through the long New England winters has become too much for them. They have (with sadness) called area livestock sanctuaries asking if we can move there, but as we're not being mistreated, or neglected there are others who need to be there more than us. Unfortunatly due to the rising price of hay the expense of feeding us through the winter has become more of a challenge then my family can manage this winter.
We are asking for some help with hay/feed bills for me and my friends.
Thank you in advance and have a glorious life
