Fyte for Wryte

On February 19, 2016, Devin Hoffer was diagnosed with T-cell type Acute Lymphocytic/ Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This is a type of blood cancer that starts in the bone marrow where the blood cells are created and that DNA creates a gene mutation that creates leukemia. The leukemia then invades one's bloodstream. This disease is seen in all ages, but less frequently in young adults. Devin has a very positive prognosis and although his remission is expected after one month of intensive cancer therapies, it will take a little over 3 years for intermediate/maintenance interventions.

We are starting a Fyte for Wryte fundraiser on campus to help raise money for Devin and his family and also spread awareness of cancer especially in adolescents. The money donated with this fundraiser will go towards both the campaign and Devin.
