My Volunteer Trip to Africa
Donation protected
Volunteering time comes at a cost, but is well worth it!! I will be traveling several weeks in July to Ghana, Africa. The cost for me to volunteer my time is $5000-$6000.
I am asking that you donate something, anything, to help me make this possible. 100% of the money I receive will be used to give my time to the people of Ghana.
Also, Please read about my trip below and share my message, share my need for funding, so I can reach my goal and give my time to people in severe need.
My Story
Traveling to a different country and volunteering is something I have always wanted to do, like many do, but never ever thought I would or could. When I was sitting in photography class, I had to look at a photojournalist who had gone to Africa and had taken pictures of the starving children surrounded by voltures. This made me want to help and make a difference. So, I immediately put in an application. I knew this wasn't a momentary decision, this was something I was, and I am still, serious about. Being able to go over to a place with severe poverty and be a helping hand, to make everyone feel better, makes me so excited. I want to have a future career in the medical field, and I know that by going to Ghana and experiencing everything and anything thrown at me, will help me be a better person . Your support of me makes us all better people. This is a once and a lifetime opportunity and there is no chance I would pass it up.
