Hello All!
My name is Francesca Shipsey and I am a graduating senior vocal performance major at Oberlin Conservatory. My ambition is to be an opera singer with a focus on art song performance.
Recently I was presented with an opportunity to sing in the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy, a unique program which focuses solely on art song performance. It's a three-week intensive program which will take place in Sankt-Goar, Germany (a tiny town on the Rhine River which was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002).
The money I am raising for this program will cover the tuition which includes:
-Two daily 45 minute long voice lessons with world-renowned voice teachers
-Participation in two public masterclasses with internationally renowned artists
-Daily German Language and Diction courses- Participation in a final concert

Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy chooses only nine singers to participate in it and it focuses solely on art song. I am extremely excited about this opportunity since I believe it will be a huge step forward in my developement as a professional musician.
